my cordless phone connection is bad, choppy so bad that you cant understand the person you are talking to?

I have all 3 bundled services and the reception has been crappy lately, I do have a wireless router so that may impact it. The phone is AT&T
Not sure there is anywhere to place the filter as the cable modem has an telephone jack that leads directly to the phone. So the phone line runs through the cable line.
I think changing the channel on the wireless router has done the trick, thanks for all the info.

what frequency does your cordless phone operate on? 900mhz, 2.4ghz, 5.8ghz, 1.9ghz(DECT)?

if your phone operates @ 2.4 Ghz then there may be issues with the wifi and the phone – in which case change the channel that the ROUTER connects to http://nyphonejacks.blogspot.com/2009/12/wifi-and-24-ghz-phones-and-other.html

if your phone operates in any other frequency then the router is not causing your problem… but other wireless home electronics could be causing interference…

have you checked with a different phone if you are still getting the same issue? i would connect a phone directly to the NID – or telephone adapter for cable co. telephone service..

i assume that if you have a triple play than your service is provided by your cable company, or fios/uverse.. i would do a packet loss test at http://pingtest.net if your test fails you need to call your local internet service provider… but if you experience this issue with a different phone then i would call the phone company about it…
