If you are interested in a quiet radiant heater, this may be a good one for you to consider. I set it up in my office, a room that is 18x16 feet and it heated up the room nicely. It does take more time for this type of heater to heat up a room than a fanned heater would, but the peace and quiet is worth it to me. I've got mine set up on a timer to turn it on and off automatically (it's so quiet, I forget it is there!). This heater is also portable and I do move it around the house when I know I'll be sitting somewhere for a period of time. I do like the product enough to order a second one. From my perspective, the only thing missing on this heater is a small quiet fan (perhaps one that is powered by the heat itself!), plus a built in timer.

After researching this product and reading many reviews (admittedly more bad than good), I decided to purchase this product. In fact, I purchased through Amazon due to the fact there would be no hassle if the product failed to live up to its claims. The heater worked fine...for about 7 hours or so and then refused to operate. Customer service was no help. The room was 64 degrees and it was set to high and still would not operate. I'd say skip this lemon. However, if you decide to roll the dice, purchase through a dealer such as Amazon who will not hassle you if you should need to (and probably will need to), return it. And don't forget to open the box carefully so you have something in which to ship it back! Good luck!

This was a good buy. Simple, easy to set up and use. Provides the additional heat we needed. Controls are on the unit. May want to consider the more expensive models that have a remote control.

After intensive research I purchased this heater instead of an Edenpure. Very happy. I really can't believe an Edenpure could be $300 better than this unit. At first we thought it was a dud. You don't get instant "wow that's hot" heat. But, after it had a few hours to get the house to temp, we were cozy. We close off our rooms & only heat our 500 sq ft living kitchen area (with vaulted ceilings) Our furnace is set at 65-67 & doesn't kick on anymore. The temp in the home is 72 and comfortable, not drafty. For the first time ever, I can walk around not all bundled up and enjoy a movie not under a pile of blankets. I am sensitive to noise so we bought this unit that doesn't have a fan/blower, so we just keep our ceiling fan on the low-winter setting. Slim design is also a plus in our small home. Wall mounting option is also great to keep kids/pets from hurting themselves. I have found nothing about this heater that I don't like.
