Amazon.com Review Combat the agony of leaving a hot shower for the chilly household air with a blast of warmth from this heater. From industry leader, Vornado, the fan heater oscillates to spread heat through out the room in no time at all. Best used as an enhancement to a heating system, separate use of the fan heater also provides comfort in the fall and spring months during cool mornings and evenings. Small rooms, up to 12 by 12 feet in size, benefit most from the application of the quiet fan heater. The electronic heater features a convex grill format to allow air to flow most ably. The fan's grill and cabinet stay cool as heat emits from the protected non-glowing heat element. With three power settings for varying needs, the fan heater runs low at 600 watts, medium at 900 watts, and high at 1500 watts. The fan can also run with no heat to circulate air in hotter weather. Equipped with automatic comfort control technology, users enter an ideal temperature and the heating appliance automatically adjusts the output to obtain and maintain this level. To ensure safety, the heater cuts power upon tipping over, or if the heater should overheat. For safe operation, read the manufacturer guidelines and instructions thoroughly prior to use. The USA-made heater is covered under a limited one-year warranty. This unit weighs 5 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Customer Reviews Read 168 more reviews... 2 Out of 5 Broke January 5, 2009 D. Huddle (NEW YORK, NY United States)
We bought 5 of this model for our office, but at least 2 out of the 5 broke over time, all the same way. The power buttons broke. I am certain that 2 broke because I've seen them. The others disappeared, possibly some have been thrown away because they are broken. We had to keep pushing until the power button contacts correctly to turn on and off. Sometimes I mindlessly push for 5 minutes while working until it turns on, sometimes I give up. Eventually one of the heater button just sunk in the hole. I have the other model at home with the light switch type of power button. That never had any problem.
Great little heater! December 29, 2008 Mavis (Pinehurst, NC USA)
It's simple for an 87-year-old who suffers from the cold (and dementia) to use in the master suite. It keeps him and the entire suite warm, and we don't have to run the thermostat nearly as high anymore. It's fairly quiet, and there are no disturbing lights to disturb his sleep. It was shipped quickly and arrived well packed. We are very pleased with the purchase experience, product and delivery service.
Excellent heater December 27, 2008 Hedgman Dent Smith (Philadelphia, PA United States)
High quality. Keeps room warm even under adverse conditions (i.e. wrong shape room; not enough juice). Ugly.
worthless December 23, 2008 Frederic Taylor (Vermont)
My wife & I have lived in our home in Vermont for 44 years & have had a number of supplemental heaters to ward off the winter cold. This Vornado certainly qualifies for the most overpriced, under- performing heaters we have ever purchased. Furthermore, it doesn't have a safety switch. Bah humbug on this item.
Does become louder! December 17, 2008 Lauren A. Rakvic
So far, it is heating my bedroom sufficiently. It has not been that cold yet though. My main complaint is that the noise from the device is erratic, and it is much louder than the first few days.
